Heatwave Buffalo Chess Tournament

Brought to you by Buffalo Chess Association and AYLUS at Greater Buffalo.

Tournament planned and organized by Grace Wang and David Cong.

 

This tournament is hosted by AYLUS at Greater Buffalo and Buffalo Chess Association.

AYLUS is a student led non profit organization aimed to provide volunteering opportunities for the community.

Buffalo Chess Association is a local chess school whose goal is to foster the growth of WNY’s chess community, and help the next generation of chess players learn and flourish.

This event’s motive is to fundraise for new school supplies for refugee children. Refreshments will be sold on site. All ages and skill levels are welcome!

Entry Fee:

$10, cash only on site.

Proceeds will be used to purchase new school supplies for refugee children.

Tournament Details:

  • 5 Round Swiss System

  • 15 minutes, 5 second delay

  • Unrated

  • Open to all ages and skill levels!

  • 1st Place- $50.00 Gift Card

  • 2nd Place - $30.00 Gift Card

  • 3rd Place - $15.00 Gift Card

  • Best Female Player - $20 Gift Card

Simultaneous Exhibition with Coach Mark Johnson

This simul will begin once all tournament games are completed. Sign ups will be taken at the door while paying for the tournament, or during the event. We have limited slots available due to space constraints!

Entry Fee: $5.00

All winners will receive a $15 gift card.
